The Travel Alliance

Did you know that in just the last 12 months, your Senior Center has traveled over 15,000 miles, crossed two oceans, sailed across 3 lakes, visited 3 countries, sung with the Rat Pack, walked a bridge, and stood at our country's landmark?

The Senior Center, in partnership with the Leelanau County Commission on Aging, formed the Travel Alliance.  We plan trip destinations, and put together all the details that go into planning a perfect travel adventure for you.  We offer everything from a day trip, to seeing a Tigers ballgame, to a two-week adventure in China, and everything in between.  You do not need to be a member of the Traverse City Senior Center in order to participate in our travel program.

Did you know that Antrim County's Commission on Aging just joined the Travel Alliance?  It's a fact!

The Travel Alliance also wants you to know about "AHHH":

Dear Travel Friends,

Life is not measured by the number of breaths that you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.  Have you felt it?  You know - that “ahhh” feeling when you see the Grand Canyon for the first time; when you stand before the US Capitol building in Washington DC; or hear a fish-tale from a local fisherman you just met in New England, who caught the lobster you will be having for dinner; or make new friends on our tours.  The Travel Alliance Committee knows how important it is for you to have those “ahhh” moments.  Our destinations will take your breath away and entice you to travel more!

Our new tours feature exciting destinations, and many feature trains, the hot new trend that groups love.  And there are tours that present exciting twists on well-loved destinations.  We have filled our new brochure with many “ahhh” moments for you to enjoy.

We look forward to another exciting year in 2011.  Join us and find out why so many of our travelers experience many “ahhh” feelings year after year on our journeys.  Our travel program will take your breath away and you too will experience those “ahhh” moments.

Happy Traveling!

The Travel Alliance Committee
